Things to do and see in our Nation's Capitol

The National Mall holds most of the monument and museums. Be warned that certain venues have operating times. The following museums are open from 10 am to 5:30 pm. So please plan your time accordingly.

-National Air and Space Museum, all 3 Smithsonian museums, National Museum of American History, National Museum of African American History and Culture, United States Holocausts Museum, National Air and Space Museum, and The International Spy Museum.

The following monuments can be observed in the National Mall and are available at any times. A few have entrance times and are noted as such.

-Washington Monument (open 9-5), Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, Albert Einstein Memorial (open 9-5), Dwight Eisenhower Memorial, etc.

Arlington National Cemetery is open 8-5 daily.

-The changing of the guard is at the top of every hour.
